The anonymous man apparently felt moved to wish TikTok star Ari a birthday message, so he recorded himself singing a unique song just for her – even though they don’t know each other
A woman was left speechless after receiving a voice-note out the blue from a man she met in a nightclub two years before – wishing her a happy birthday.
TikTok star Ari, @ad4422, was celebrating her birthday when her phone pinged, notifying her that she had received a message that turned out to be a voice recording.
The clip contained the classic happy birthday song but with slightly modified lyrics – sung with effort and style by a male voice.
Ari shared a video of the song with her fans on TikTok, and soon people were praising the man for his song, saying she should ‘marry him’.
Ari captioned the video “we’re in a simulation”, and wrote: “You receive this audio message on your birthday from a man you met at a bar two years ago, what would you do?”
The song, which the man sings, goes: “Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear crazy girl who I met at Tequila Cowboy and never thought I’d be in contact with two years later, happy birthday to you.”
The clip soon went viral with over 200,000 views, alongside 41,000 likes and more than 300 comments.
One user said: “He gets points for randomness.”
And another added: “Marry him.”
“This is the chaotic good energy we need”, wrote a third.
And a fourth said: “That’s fantastic, you should definitely buy him a drink.”
